Florence Fairgrounds on April 30, May 1
The Myrtle Beach Kennel Club will conduct a dog show in Florence on April 30 and May 1. The AKC all breed dog show will feature confirmation classes, obedience trials and rally trials.
There will be a fun match on Saturday evening which may be entered that day. The match will start with a costume class for any dog, registered or all-american and will continue with AKC registered dogs. The Saturday show will also feature a non-competitive parade of title holders and a very special show for the senior dogs, 7 and older.
Admission is free and the show is indoors or under roof.
This is the opportunity to come see and touch the dogs you have seen on television. Uno, the beagle who won Westminster, Madison Square Gardens, first won Best in Show at the Myrtle Beach Kennel Club's show. Many of the winners seen on television will be in Florence for these shows, including many number ones of the breed.
The judges are coming from Canada, Florida, Georgia, Ohio and as close as the Columbia or Charleston area. Exhibitors are coming from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina.
There will be vendors with food as well as unique items for sale. Also, the club will conduct a raffle table.
The show begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday and will continue until all entrants have been judged and Best In Show is awarded. Then the match will be held.
Sunday will be another complete show, featuring Bred By Ex. dogs.
